About Me

Who am I

Hi, its nice to meet you.

Typically therapists don't self-disclose, and while I don't tend to do this in sessions, I understand how it is sometimes a bit helpful to know a little bit about the person you are thinking about going to see in therapy!

So a little about me...I am engaged to Dave (getting married June 2026!), we are very proud dog-parents of Bear and Flora!

I am the youngest of 3 girls in the family I grew up in, both my sisters have little girls (6 y/o, and 1/yo) and being an Auntie is my favourite!

In my spare time I'm a massive Taylor Swift enthusiast, I love a night in with a painting by numbers canvas and glass of wine, or I equally enjoy eating out and exploring restaurants around Belfast! I've been known to do the odd 5k run and tend to slip in and out of running routines (these can be very weather dependant!)

Professionally

I have been qualified as a Counsellor/Psychotherapist since 2014.

Working as an adult counsellor, with a Diploma in Counselling and Psychotherapy, I then went on to study a Masters of Science in Child and Adolescent Counselling and Psychotherapeutic Skills. Since then I have completed a PG Cert in Family Therapy and Systemic Practice, and I am at the finishing stages of a Diploma in Counselling Supervision.

I am also an accredited member of BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy).

Throughout my career I have worked in charitible organisations, primary schools, secondary schools, special needs schools, as well as Private Practice.

Prior to qualifying as a counsellor, I completed an Honours Degree in Applied Theology with Youth Work, and worked as a Youth Worker for several years.
